Teaser images didn’t reveal that much. On the other hand, first spy photos are available. The cameras caught new Frontier with numerous refreshments.
And while the heavy camo perfectly hides some exterior parts, we know more than enough about the new 2023 Frontier. The interior will also get all sorts of improvements. It seems like the performances won’t change in 2023. Without further ado, here’s everything we know about the new Nissan Frontier pickup truck.
2023 Nissan Frontier: Potent V6 Remains
We already wrote that the performance of the 2023 Nissan Frontier won’t change. We hoped to see some sort of improvement, but that won’t happen. The same 3.8-liter V6 with 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque is available once again because of that. Nissan offers the same nine-speed automatic transmission. This engine replaced the old 4.0-liter V6 and it comes with a direct injection system.
Nissan will reportedly deliver slightly better fuel economy figures. The current Frontier delivers 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The AWD system is optional and it will slightly lower the fuel efficiency.
2023 Frontier Spy Photos
As we said, teaser photos of the 2023 Nissan Frontier didn’t show that much. Luckily, spy shots are available so we know more details about this new pickup truck. The heavy camouflage is present, so we don’t know all of the exterior upgrades. Some parts were easy to spot and we can confirm some interesting changes. Frontier will share a couple of things with Titan XD truck. The two models are almost identical in terms of size.
Frontier remains a mid-size pickup, which isn’t a surprise. The spy photos are showing a more attractive styling, while the boxy presence remains. The front fascia hosts rectangular headlights and the same blocky grille. Fog lights are reshaped as well, while the LED taillights are slightly modified. We hope to see new wheels and new exterior colors.
Interior Updates
The interior will gain even more upgrades. The 2023 Nissan Frontier has been spied with additional interior changes, which is great to hear. The mid-size pickup truck will offer the same cabin layout. A new infotainment system is there, along with the new center stack. We can also spot the 4WD system controller with 2WD, 4WD Hi, and 4WD Low settings.
The base trim level will arrive with a new touchscreen. Upper trims should offer leather upholstery, an auto-dimming mirror, and some new features. Of course, safety will be improved with the additional driver-assistance.
