2025 BMW X8 Redesign, Interior, Price, SUV, Release date. It looks like just one model is missing– a full-size coupe crossover if you look at BMW’s crossover lineup. According to the latest reports, that will change already in the next year. The 2025 BMW X8 is on the way and we are about to see a new flagship SUV, which will borrow a lot of parts from the X7 model, but which will also come with a plethora of unique details.

2025 BMW X8 Release Date

Of course, what you may expect is a pretty exclusive styling, which will include that recognizable sloping roof, a thing that characterizes all even-numbered models in the Bavarian lineup. Other than that, we don’t believe there could be too many significant differences compared to the X7 model. We count on the same mechanics, same engines in the offer, as well as a pretty similar interior design. More details should come soon.

The 2025 BMW X8 should hit the market sometime in the next year.

2025 BMW X8 Engines

When it comes to powertrain, there is no doubt that the base model will come with a well-known 3.0-liter inline-six, which puts out around 335 horsepower. The next step would be a V8, with a max output of 523 horsepower. Of course, the M-badged version would be at the top of the offer, with 612 horsepower. All three engine options would come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

There is also a big chance to see a hybrid version. If that happens, we would probably see the same plug-in hybrid setup that can be found in the current 7 Series, which combines a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with an electric motor, for a total output of 389 horsepower and offers a max electric range of 16 miles.

2025 BMW X8 Interior

2025 BMW X8 Redesign

The 2025 BMW X8 will be a brand-new model from the Bavarian carmaker and it will be a flagship crossover in the lineup. Of course, its key characteristics will be that coupe-like layout, thanks to a sloping roof design. What we expect to see is a shape that closely resembles the X6 model, but comes in a notably bigger package.

Of course, most of the parts will be shared with the X7, including most of the styling. While the rear end is about to look pretty unique, the rest of the vehicle should remain pretty much unchanged. This especially refers to the front end, which should look nearly identical.

The same thing goes for mechanics. We are about to see the same overall layout, based on the CLAR platform, which offers a great balance between comfort and engaging handling. Furthermore, the wheelbase will be the same as in the more conventional sibling, though we expect to see a few inches less in total length, due to a shorter rear overhang.

Interior

What we expect to see on the inside is the same dashboard design. This part of the cabin definitely won’t bring any bigger change. We are about to see a familiar layout, which combines modern tech features with a little bit more traditional aesthetical approach. There is still a fine amount of physical control, which comes perfectly paired with modern tech goodies.

We count on the same amount of legroom in all three rows when it comes to interior space. This would mean a couple of pretty spacious rows, along with the third row that can be useful. On the other hand, the sloping roof will certainly have a negative impact on third-row headroom. Also, the cargo area should be notably smaller and less functional compared to the X7.

Features

We don’t believe that things could be much different compared to the X7 when it comes to standard and available features. For reference, the current model comes standard with things like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, a 10-speaker stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio, two USB ports, navigation, a panoramic moonroof, quad-zone automatic climate control, remote start, proximity keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a universal garage door opener.

Among options, you can find glass interior controls, heated and cooled cupholders, five-zone automatic climate control, gesture control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo, a 20-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound stereo, a driving information recorder, and a rear-seat entertainment system. We believe that the new X8 won’t be much different in this aspect.
