2025 Ford Maverick: Redesign, Hybrid, Specs, & Colors. Ford is one of the largest truck makers in the world, which sells over 1 Million such vehicles every year. As pickup trucks are getting more popular these days, it’s no wonder that the Blue Oval company is working on another vehicle of this type, even though it already offers an impressive range of pickups. It starts from a mid-size Ranger and ends with Medium Duty models like F-650 and F-750. However, many drivers don’t actually need such strong performances, but rather just like the shape and practicality of a pickup. That’s why we are about to see the 2025 Ford Maverick Pickup, the company’s first unibody pickup truck.
This models will ride on a unibody platform, so it will take a little bit of two worlds. It should be able to provide better driving characterstiics compared to traditional pickups, which should attract a new range of buyers. From what we know so fare, the new model will also feature a pretty unique styling, as well as a pretty competitive price. The 2025 Ford Maverick pickup truck should arrive sometime in the next year.
2025 Ford Maverick Engines
The powertrain lineup probably won’t be much different compared to the Bronco Sport. We count on two familiar units in the offer. Base models would come with a familiar 1.5-liter EcoBoost, which puts out around 180 horsepower. That should be enough for most drivers, while those who prefer something peppier may count on a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 245 horsepower. Both engines would come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while AWD layout should be offered.
2025 Ford Maverick Design
At this point, we already know some of the key details about the 2025 Ford Maverick. This will be a new pickup in Ford’s range, with a different design we used to see from the Blue Oval company. Instead of a traditional body-on-frame layout, the new model will ride on a unibody platform, just like Honda Ridgeline, just notably smaller. The new model would rather compete with the upcoming Hyundai Santa Cruz, in the class of compact pickups.
Things with a unibody platform are pretty clear. On one side, such a layout means notably lower capabilities compared to traditional BoF pickups. This model won’t be particularly great in terms of towing and hauling. On the other side, it will offer a pretty high level of comfort and handling that’s on par with modern crossovers. This model will ride on a familiar C2 platform, which underprints pretty much all compact vehicles in the company’s lineup. This model will share most of its parts with the upcoming Bronco Sport, and that includes both aesthetics and mechanics.
Styling
When it comes to the styling, it’s still early to talk about details. Some 2025 Ford Maverick pictures have already appeared on the internet, but those are just rendering photos. On the other side, the vehicle we believe is a test mule still wears a complete camouflage. We can only rely on rumors at this point.
We expect that the new model will share aesthetics with the new Bronco Sport. This particularly refers to the front end, which should be nearly identical. On the other side, the rest of the vehicle will come in a typical pickup manner and from what we know so far, the new model will be offered in both double and single cab layouts.
Interior
It’s still early to talk about details when it comes to the 2025 Ford Maverick interior. Still, we may presume that this cabin won’t look as truck-ish as those that characterize common BoF pickup trucks. This one would rather feature car-like aesthetics, with finer materials and different ergonomics. We also count on a long list of standard and available equipment, especially when it comes to tech goodies.
When it comes to the interior space, we’ve already mentioned that the new model should come both in double and single cab layouts. Still, we don’t expect that the second row will be particularly generous with legroom.
2025 Ford Maverick Release Date and Price
We expect to see available 2025 Ford Maverick for sale sometime in the next year. Base models will probably go around 20.000 dollars.
