2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon: Diesel, Specs, and Towing Capacity. The forthcoming 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon is getting additional updates. Of all, spy shots are online and the spied prototype was spotted with heavy camouflage. The photos are showing the same rugged truck but some details are very interesting. Of course, we are talking about the latest cosmetic upgrades.
The Powe Wagon variant is an off-road-oriented model with more equipment than the regular RAM 2500. The interior is better, but Power Wagon comes in the crew cab setup exclusively. Under the hood, RAM offers the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 powertrain that guarantees great performances. The manufacturer will launch its new model later in 2021 and here’s what we know about it so far.
2025 RAM Power Wagon Spy Shots
As we said, the prototype of the 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon wears a lot of camouflage. However, some exterior changes are easy to spot. For an instance, the Power Wagon will gain more upright front fascia. Interestingly, but front part now looks closer to the fascia of the 75th Anniversary Edition. The LED headlights will remain, but the grille is now wider.
Still, it is the current “jail bar” grille with the blacked-out R-A-M lettering. The side profile shows literally nothing, but we could expect more pronounced lines or something similar. As before, the new Power Wagon will once again offer 17-inch eight-spoke wheels as standard.
Towing Capacity, MPG
In terms of performance, this heavy-duty truck will continue with its potent 6.4-liter V8 Hemi engine. It is a familiar gasoline powertrain with 410 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. The 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon comes with a standard four-wheel-drive system and 8-speed automatic transmission. Optional 6.7-liter turbodiesel Cummins engine is also available.
This output can produce 400 horsepower and over 900 lb-ft of torque. Exact torque figures are yet to be announced but this powertrain will gain slight improvement. Power Wagon will be able to tow around 10,350 lbs if you opt for the diesel variant. Lastly, the gasoline engine delivers around 13 mpg combined while the diesel option is rated at 17 mpg combined.
Interior Changes
The interior of the 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will also get minor updates. As you know, Ford is about to introduce its refreshed Super Duty lineup and Ram has to do the same. However, Ram opted for not-so-significant improvements. New Power Wagon will gain more safety aids and the latest version of the infotainment system.
The interior design remains, along with the layout. As we said, the Crew Cab is once again on offer so there will be room for five people. We hope to see further updates so we are waiting for RAM to reveal closer details.
2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon Price, Release Date
The price of the all-new 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will start at about $54,000. This is yet to be confirmed, but we expect a small increase in terms of price. As for the launch date, RAM will release its Power Wagon variant in the second half of 2021, most likely this fall.
