This means all of the upgrades on the base Hilux will be applied to the Hilux Hybrid model.

2025 Hilux Facelift
The upcoming 2025 Toyota Hilux will arrive with mid-cycle improvements. This means the visual upgrades are not that significant. Still, this is a good thing as Toyota clearly plans to update some parts of the truck. For a start, the platform will be lighter. This should result in better fuel efficiency for the gasoline-powered Hilux. Both the front and rear parts will gain an improved LED lighting system and the side profile will offer new wheels.
The dimensions and the vehicle’s shape will remain intact. The front fascia will host a reshaped grille and the bumpers will gain the same treatment. New optional amenities are in the offer and Hilux will once again provide three cab setups. That includes single cab, extra cab, and double cab configurations.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2025 Toyota Hilux is also getting updates. The cabin design won’t change at all, along with the seating layout. However, the interior already looks upright and modern. Toyota plans to offer new upholstery and additional chrome accents. The Hilux truck will finally get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integrations.
A digital instrument cluster is in the works and the infotainment system is getting an update too. Lastly, this truck will introduce the newest driver-assistance aids. However, those features will be optional in the entry-level models.
Hilux Hybrid is In The Works
Under the hood, the new 2025 Toyota Hilux will once again rely on the existing engine lineup. However, a new hybrid powertrain is becoming available. First, Hilux offers a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine with 175 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. Now, the Japanese manufacturer will combine a diesel engine with a hybrid system. It is a mild-hybrid setup that will deliver improved fuel efficiency and more power.
Thanks to that, Hilux Hybrid will generate around 200 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of twisting power. The figures are not official yet, and we are still waiting to hear more about the truck’s fuel efficiency. A familiar 2.4-liter engine is also available and it provides 150 ponies and 295 lb-ft of torque. Toyota offers both manual and automatic transmission.
2025 Toyota Hilux Release Date, Price
The price of the upcoming 2025 Toyota Hilux will start at around $28,000. On the other hand, a hybrid version will cost $35,000, according to some reliable reports. The sales will begin in the second half of 2021, most likely by the end of the summer.
