2025 BMW X2 M, Release Date, Changes, Price, Colors. Although the current version of this small coupe crossover has been around for about four years, the Bavarian carmaker doesn’t feel any need for updates. Instead, the 2025 BMW X2 continues in the same way, with familiar design characteristics. Practically, the only changes are few visual tweaks, in terms of side mirrors and appearance package. Other than that, things have remained the same. You may count on a familiar design, which offers familiar design characteristics.

2025 BMW X2 Interior

In other words, the 2025 BMW X2 will continue to deliver excellent handling and driving dynamics, along with a comfortable and well-built cabin. We also like the infotainment system, which the biggest complaint goes to the sloping roof, which compromises the cargo area and rear-seat headroom. Some critics find the interior design uninspiring, while those who like comfortable and relaxed ride probably won’t like its stiff sporty suspension.

The 2025 BMW X2 is already on sale in most parts of the United States.

2025 BMW X2 Engines

The engine lineup is pretty familiar, as the offer starts with a well-known 2.0-liter turbo-four. This engine puts out around 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission and offers driving dynamics that will satisfy most drivers. Those who are looking for something peppier can get the upgraded version of the engine, it the model called M35i. In this case, the max output goes up to 301 horsepower, which is enough to move this crossover from zero to sixty in about 4.7 seconds. This engine also comes in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

The base version returns around 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway when it comes to fuel economy. The M-badged model returns around 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Both ratings are pretty good for the class.

2025 BMW X2 Redesign

As we’ve just mentioned, changes for the 2025 BMW X2 are minimal. It comes with just a couple of styling tweaks, among which you can find optional black side mirrors, as well as a new Extended Shadowline package, which adds a lot of chrome details.

Other than that, things are pretty much the same as in the previous year’s model. The styling is heavily based on the X1 model, with the exception of the rear end, which features a sloping roof and offers that coupe-like look. The same thing can be said for the mechanics, which are also shared with the brand’s smallest crossover in the offer. The X2 offers sharp handling and a pretty sporty ride, no matter which version you choose. Of course, M-badged models go even more extreme in this aspect.

Interior

The Bavarian carmaker doesn’t practice interior updates during production cycles and the 2025 BMW X2 is no exception. It comes with pretty much the same cabin design, which hasn’t changed since the initial launch. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, considering that this cabin still looks good and features nice materials and good build quality. However, some critics find the dashboard looking too simple, especially when compared to rivals from Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

We are talking about a coupe crossover, with a sloping roof design. Therefore, don’t expect miracles in terms of interior space. The front seats are very comfortable and generous. On the other hand, the second row has a lot of legroom, but the sloping roof compromises the headroom. For the same reason, the cargo area is pretty small. You may count on 21.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 50.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. That’s notably less compared to the X1 but still a decent number for the class.
